Ben Damph Lodge

Ben Damph Lodge is a spectacularly designed house that both hugs the landscape and celebrates its prominent position in this unique location. It is the perfect place to get away from it all or to have a fabulous family get-together.

Built to replace the Log House which sadly burned down in June 2018, the Gray family wanted to pay tribute to the craftsmanship of the old log cabin, while using the latest building techniques to ensure an environmentally-friendly new construction. This eco lodge is powered by solar panels, heated from a ground source heat pump and clad in native larch from the estate and Nordic eco steel. Scottish Douglas Fir both frames the main living area and forms a spectacularly grand dining table. Ancient Torridonian sandstone makes the perfect perch to read a book from our extensive library, or warm up by the fire.

The main living space is designed to be a gathering place, while cosy spaces around the house provide ultimate escapism with views across Loch Torridon and the mountains beyond. At the end of a hard day’s walking, cycling or wild swimming come home to sit back, relax and watch the light changing on the water.
