Situated in a superb position on the shores of Loch Torridon with views to the Torridon mountains beyond. The Bothy provides a wonderful off-grid, back to basics, digital detox ‘bothy experience’.
Lovingly restored by skilled Yorkshire Stone Masons and local timber craftsmen, there are two rooms, each with a log burner and two beds which can be placed together to make a double. All the furniture has been beautifully made, in our own wood, by a local cabinet maker. The rooms are connected by a ‘sitooterie’ (a scottish colloquial term for a place to ‘sit out’ in!) with big windows that make the most of the glorious views over to Ben Alligin. Here there is a dining table and a basic camping kitchen set up with running water.
There is no electricity, but there is a gas powered hot shower adjoining the bothy. The long-drop privy /composting loo is situated 30 metres away in the garden.
